Looking for a pony for your advanced beginner rider for pony club, eventing, or jumpers? Pal is looking for his next home. He would do great with a confident kid or even advanced beginner in a riding program. He is a great size, small enough for a smaller rider but large enough that an instructor could hop on and school if needed. Pal would be best suited to pair with a confident rider. An advanced beginner 10 year old girl that takes lessons at the barn rode him recently and had a great time. He is starting to be used as a lesson pony in the riding program at the barn a couple days a week and already becoming a lesson horse favorite. He loads, hauls, bathes, and clips. Stands respectfully when tied to trailers or in the barn. Under saddle, most days he has more whoa than go, however has enough forward to jump and long-trot/canter down trails (or even XC). (which is why he isn't well suited for a green absolute beginner just learning to ride). He would be best suited for a kid ready to move up from the walk-trot cross rail horse. He is a great step up horse before a regular sized horse. He is uncomplicated to ride (point and go over jumps). He has a solid walk/trot/canter with great cadence. Currently working on accepting consistent contact, lateral movements, and overall smoothness. He has also been ridden western and neck reins. Currently jumping 0.7 m (2 ft 3 inches) consistently, schooled up to 2 ft 7 inches (just one time). He recently completed a starter division one day schooling event and was super! He is confident on the trails. He is normally not spooky, leads the way or follows in the back. We had one time when he spooked, we encountered hikers that were cutting through a creek off the trail and making the trees sway that made him nervous. He didn't do anything but stop and not want to go closer. He crosses bridges and water. Pal can come on to new horses strong. When let out with them for the first time he squeals, strikes, and tries to establish dominance. New introductions are supervised. With each new horse he is introduced to, he seems to have a milder interaction. Nothing severe has happened and there have been no injuries. He has been hauled to new arenas and he has done fantastic. He is getting shown this summer in jumpers, schooling events, and attending clinics, until he finds his new rider. He is very versatile and could go in any direction, however most training effort has been with dressage and jumping (rider preference). More photos and videos on a google drive available, just send me a message. I am not a salesman. I want you to know the good, the bad, the ugly. Mostly I want him to find his next rider so he can have a fun partnership. Unknown breeding. Possibly paint or pony. Location Bonners Ferry Idaho Height 13.3 hands
