About Photo Ads

This site is the most effective for PHOTO ads. Photo ads will always get more attention from potential buyers or breeders. In fact, most visitors tell us that they ONLY look at the photo ads and skip the free text ads. Others have told us that they shop from the free text ads as those are the people who are most likely to lower their price--sometimes by hundreds of dollars! Get the most you can for your horse by upgrading to a photo ad today!

Photo ads will be listed at the top of most search listings after Spotlight Ads and before free text ads. The first thing an interested buyer will ask you for is to send them a photo by email. If we don't show them the picture here, they are going to want it anyway! During the time it takes you to send them a photo, they may have already found another horse to buy. Let us put your photo online and save yourself time, effort, and potential sales.

Photo ads get two chances to be "New" ads. Once when the text is first added and again when complete your order and add the final photo (and again and again when photos are renewed)!

If you are worried because you don't have your own scanner, we can scan and return your photo to you for $10 per ad. Just about any photo developer such as Walgreens, WalMart, etc., can copy the images from your roll of film onto a CD or diskette for a very reasonable fee. We have also received photos from America Online's You've Got Pictures program and Kodak PhotoNet online.

JUST $20 PER PHOTO (Prepaid) FOR UP TO 90 DAYS! This covers the time it takes to crop or enhance your photo for the web and the bandwidth it takes to display it online. The fee for us to scan and return your photo is $10 per ad (no matter how many photos you purchase for the ad). After 90 days you will receive an email asking you to renew your ad. The renewal fee for photo ads is $15 for an additional 90 days. Non-renewed ads will be deleted to make room for new ads. Replacing or updating a photo is $10.

Please Note: Many horses sell very quickly using DreamHorse.com and sometimes before we even have the final photo online. Our site features "instant images" so that as soon as you have placed your order, you can upload your photo (JPG images less than 2MB) and have it online and showing to potential buyers "instantly." If your horse sells this quickly from our site, we feel we have done our job, and unused time will NOT be applied to other ads or refunded. Please allow approximately 3 BUSINESS days for final completion of your photo order.

Upload Image Here Any Time After Ordering

Upload Horse JPG

After you have added your text ad, and ordered your photo ad, you can upload your JPG image on our Upload page. Select the horse for which you want to add a photo and press the Upload Horse Photo button. This will allow you to upload a file to us directly from your computer to our server. There is a size limit on these uploads of 2MB and the file must be saved in the jpg image format (and the filename should end in ".jpg").

Email Attachment

If you have trouble uploading or if your photo is not in the JPG image format, you may attach a previously scanned photo to an email message and send it to photos@dreamhorse.com. (WE DO NOT MONITOR THE PHOTOS EMAIL ADDRESS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES.) Contact Us Here for Customer Service. There should be a menu option or button (usually with a paperclip icon) in your email program where you can attach a file that is on your computer to an email. We MUST have your Horse ID on the Subject Line of the email message. Please send each photo on a separate email. The size limit for emailing an image to us is 4MB. Email messages with larger attachments will be rejected by our server.

Or mail your photo to the address below and it will be scanned for you and returned with your receipt. We would appreciate receiving a self-addressed stamped envelope for return of your photo. You should already have an existing text ad online and include your HORSE ID from your text ad with your payment. You must have an EMAIL ADDRESS to place ads on our site. NOTE: There is a $10 per ad scanning fee.
