There is something to be said for consistency... especially when it's this good. Driftwood Lowry makes a bay roan or a buckskin roan filly for Shield H Quarter Horses almost every year; 2019 is no disappointment for sure. Check out this year's super nice bay roan filly, perfect in every way. Owning Fritzy King Chex since his yearling year, we have raised, halter trained, and started/ridden most all of his foals and have never been disappointed. Fritzy is a Central Wyoming Cutting Club and National Cutting Horse Association money earner with very limited showing. He is the son of Oasis Ranch's gorgeous stallion, A Cowboy At Heart, by King Fritz Two. Unfortunately, A Cowboy At Heart was injured as a long two year old when he was cast in his stall. For a horse with so much talent, conformation, and color, it was a major disappointment. Marilyn Bowling said, “He was so perfect for a futurity horse and in one night, it was over. It was heartbreaking to learn that his career ended before it even started.” He bred his first mares when King Fritz Two was no longer able to breed, and they have two of those first daughters in their broodmare band to this day. His foals not only show but they also work for a living and are found on ranches all over the west. You won’t find many of them for sale. The Oasis Ranch rarely has any left after their yearling year, and they sell well. These King Fritz genetics are coupled with her dam, Driftwood Lowry, who is by an outstanding rope horse, WC Driftwood Buck. Her bottom side traces to the great Lowry Star, who was very well known for siring tremendous performance cowhorses. Lowry Star sired a number of great horses for Jim and Dena Bower of Worland, Wyoming, who valued him as their pride and joy. The blue roan stallion earned the #1 Foundation Quarter Horse Registry number and produced many amazing horses including several that competed at the National Finals Rodeo. This filly is bred to be an outstanding team roping prospect, calf roping prospect, or ranch horse (show pen, working ranch, or both!). She is a beautiful filly with her whole life ahead of her; we can hardly wait to see her fill out! Thank you for your consideration.
