Proudly offering, “Son Will”, a 16.1 hand gelding sired by Senor Amigo (Distorted Humor), foaled in 2013. RRP ELIGIBLE.
Where do we even begin with this boy... William oozes class and is a horse who just has a ton of presence. He’s a big bodied horse who is uphill, with a lovely neck and shoulder. Given his confirmation it is no wonder that he is a stellar mover. Very few thoroughbreds have the freedom in their movement that this guy does. He is simply stunning, both standing still and moving.
William retired completely sound and very clean legged after a decent career of 35 starts. His racing connections took impeccable care of this horse. His legs are tight and spotless!
He is a pleasure to have in the barn and easy as could be to handle. He crossties, straight ties, loads, hauls and settles into new places like he’s been there all his life. William’s temperament is very easy going and he seems to be rather unphased by most things. He is good in turnout and minds his own business. He is easily handled without a shank and is well mannered.
We assessed William at liberty and were completely stunned by what a high quality guy he is. He oozes upper level potential and is the perfect prospect for someone who wants a horse who can take them all the way. His trot is second to none and will easily compete with the warmbloods. He has a canter to match, which is very balanced and uphill. He popped off several clean lead changes for us, just because he can! We lightly schooled him down the jump chute where he showed his willing attitude and bravery. He quickly started to figure it out and by the end even showed us just how much scope he really has in there! Knees to eyeballs and plenty of room to go higher.
William is a quality prospect for the rider who wants to really get out and compete. Please note, we will only sell him to someone who has show aspirations and goals. He is entirely way to nice to just be a pleasure horse.
William had an impromptu first ride on 8/10 where he demonstrated what a solid brain he has further proving his amateur suitability. He marched around walk trot in a new ring and never missed a beat!
