This athletic, sound, sensible, very versatile Arabian mare is the 2020 Texas State 4-H Open Jumping Champion. She is in foal to the athletic, inspected and approved Irish Sport Horse stallion Cappa Irish Charmer. The resulting foal, due in April 2021, can be registered as an Irish Draught Sport Horse (IDSH) as well as a Half-Arabian (AHA) and may be available to purchase separately by private treaty or as a package with this mare for the price listed if sold by December 1, 2020. Umbra is a daughter of the black champion colt Masada Mahmoud. Her pedigree is a nice blend of Egyptian, Polish and Crabbet bloodlines through Padron, Serafix and *Ansata Ibn Halima++. She had no training until she was eight years old resulting in a very solid, sound foundation. She is vigorously healthy and a very easy keeper that adapts well to her surroundings. In 2017, as a ten year old, she was the Texas State 4-H Over Fences Champion, Champion Hunter Hack and Reserve Champion Open Jumping with my 12 year old daughter. She is a very confident and willing horse, and goes well English or Western. She really enjoys jumping and trails, is super responsive, smart, and a very elegant mover. She is equally happy moving cattle and has even been our pack horse on multi-day horse camping trips in the wilderness of Montana. She is calm, easy to work around and has no vices or problems loading, tying, clipping, etc. The epitome of the "versatile Arabian" and a true partner with the energy to work all day. She could be an ideal endurance prospect or pony club eventer for the right woman or youth. Her foal has the potential to be a champion and truly special horse.
