I’m so proud to offer you another horse of a lifetime! “Angus” is a stunning, black, 5 yr. old Gypsy Vanner X gelding. Not only is he an absolute knock out, but he also has the personality to go along with his looks. He is by a Gypsy Vanner stallion and out of a Quarter Horse mare, so he has lighter feathers for easier maintenance while still having bone, foot and size and the general slow legged, cold disposition of a draft. He stands 15.1 hands and is a smooth ride! I acquired Angus from his original owner who was also his breeder, so I know the complete history on him. He has been lovingly cared for and was raised by a family who had several children, so he is familiar with being handled and ridden by young people as well. Angus has been ridden in the mountains and knows how to handle himself in rocky terrain. He has also been used to ride through cattle and has doctored cattle outside. He has been enjoyed in the arena too and is a nicely broke gelding with a great, willing attitude. He is a confident individual who really likes people and is eager to bond with his rider. He isn’t barn or buddy sour and doesn’t mind riding out alone. He is used to dogs running underfoot and the general commotion of everyday farm/ranch life. Angus has also proven to tolerate time off and goes back to work with out issues. He has been both barefoot and shod. He is currently barefoot. He is as healthy as a horse with no history of problems. Hauls well, gets along in the pasture with his herd mates well. Angus is a very loving individual with a big personality. The perfect candidate for him will be a confident beginner to intermediate level rider who has the time to enjoy this awesome horse! Angus would excel at western dressage, ranch riding, mounted patrol, search and rescue or drill team work. He would be an excellent addition to any therapeutic programs or he can remain a wonderful, all-around family ranch horse. The future possibilities with this special gelding are endless. Angus can be seen in Burleson, TX by appointment. Sells sound. Vet checks are welcome and encouraged.
