Valor is an extremely talented, smart young horse ready for the next chapter of his life. He comes with a clean set of radiographs of front feet, front fetlocks and hocks. With less than a year of training since leaving the track, he's proven to be a wonderful dressage prospect with numerous scores at dressage shows in the seventies. He's been the Open Training level champion at 3 of the 4 dressage shows he did this summer. He's also done well at eventing, winning his first Beginner Novice event in May and then getting 7th and 9th at two USEA events at the Novice level.

Valor is a doll at shows. He'll stand tied to the trailer all day. (Under the awning if you let him.) Never gets amped in the warm-up area, no matter what crazies are leaping around him. His jumping warm-up amounts to quietly cantering six jumps, and he has yet to pull a rail in a showjumping round.

Valor has fox-hunted 12 times this year with the Metamora Hunt. Five times with the "Hilltoppers", five times with the 2nd Flight, and twice with the first Flight. He's very mannerly, staying behind whatever horse is in front of him. He doesn't mind hounds scampering around or past him either. He is easy to mount from whatever log or rock you can find to park him beside. Stands to open & close gates. He's ponied the huntsman's mount and will stand quietly just about anywhere. He'll jump anything, and yet stay quiet to wait his turn. A real gem on the hunt field. And to date, including the TB Makeover, he has done all his hunting in a bitless bridle.

Valor just competed at the 2019 Thoroughbred Makeover at the Kentucky Horse Park. He finished 8th of 26 starters in the Field Hunter division and 12th of 126 starters in the Dressage division.

We're asking $13.5 K for this lovely, personable guy.
