UPDATE ~ WEDNESDAY, OCT. 21, 2020 ~ SOLD ~ TO AN EXPERIENCED HORSEWOMAN FROM WA WHO PLANS TO USE DOLLY FOR OBSTACLE COURSE COMPETITIONS AND RECREATIONAL TRAIL RIDING The epitome of the dream Barbie horse. 2009 model beautiful dappled palomino, gaited mare with hair for days. 14 hands, light build. Ideal home: An energetic and athletic rider who likes a horse that walks (or gaits) with a purpose. She is sensitive to cues but tends to be more go than whoa. She has been owned and ridden for the past 5+ years by an older rider with some limiting factors that sadly make them no longer a good fit for each other. Dolly has had considerable training including an extended period with Mark Bolender. She will give you the moon if you ask nicely. Stands quietly for mounting, loads, trailers and ties. Easy on electric fences. As seen in the pictures she is adept at mountain trail obstacles and the more you work her the better she gets. Best for rider under 180 lbs. Goes through water, over bridges and around just about anything. - I have yet to find any obstacle she wouldn't attempt on the trail. Easily loads on the trailer. Requires minor maintenance and a dry lot (or grazing muzzle) to keep her at her best. Trail riding is her favorite! Has also ridden in Parades. Currently stabled in Kingston, WA (next door to a fire station - very used to sirens) and is being ridden more regularly to solidify her gait. I rode very infrequently (1-2x monthly and she was the same horse, even then). Sensitive to aids. She has a pleasure horse mentality and doesn't tolerate rough riding - so, barrel racing or timed speed events would not be good for her! Stands still for my awkward mounting/dismounting. Can mount her from the ground or any available mounting block. Have used step ladders, trailer bumpers and wheel wells, construction trailers... To dismount I have to press my foot into her butt to be able to get my knee over the high cantle of my saddle. Does well with gentleness, kindness and love. (Don't we all?) Up to date on all vaccines, floating, a hoof care. Spring Coggins and brand inspection. Rehoming for 2 - 0- 0- 0. (Price reduced from 3-0-0-0) Please text 360-850-2413 for more information, and/or appointment. Farm check may be required.
