Embarr (Emmy) is a 2004 16hh Irish Sport Horse (Irish Draught x Dutch WB) mare.

Pretty mover with smooth gaits and an easy to sit trot. She's been schooling exclusively as a dressage horse for the last 2.5 years, but she could go into eventing or H/J.

Has been put over fences in the past, showed naturally good form, great scope, and seemed to really enjoy it, she just lacks experience and the confidence that comes with it. She is showing 1st and 2nd level dressage and schooling 3rd level. She knows leg yield, renvers, travers, shoulder/counter shoulder in, turn on the haunch and forehand, and half pass, and has started flying changes.

Has been hacked out, WTC, with a buddy on the Sammamish River Trail alongside cyclists, under/over bridges, and around dogs without issues, and she is ridden outside most of the year, weather permitting. Has been exposed to cows, chickens, dogs, and other farm animals, and as long as they don't take her food, she could care less.

She's an easy keeper, hasn't had a day of lameness in the time I've owned her, has excellent feet and stands well for the farrier. Loads, cross ties, bathes and clips, but can be fidgety.

Was not previously shown except once at a schooling show, but she has done well at the handful of schooling and rated dressage shows I've taken her to, scoring in the 60's in both first and second level. We have been riding weekly with a well respected local instructor for nearly two years, and have been doing bi-monthly (sometimes monthly) clinics with Major Jeremy Beale for 3/4 of the year since I purchased her.

She is stalled, but has 24/7 access to a large private pasture with horses on either side of her, and she shared accommodations with a companion sheep until recently.

Emmy would do best with a confident and quiet rider. She can get anxious at times and needs a good, calm leader to bring out the best in her. I'm a naturally high-energy, intense person, so although we've made it work, I'm not the ideal partner for her. She would really blossom with someone more suited to her. I could see her doing well with a teenager or adult amateur working with a trainer.

Despite her and I not quite clicking, finding a good match for Emmy is a must. She has a lot of potential that I just don't think she'll reach with me and I really want that for her.

Thank you!
