Registered 15.0 hh Bay Arabian Gelding Foaled in March 2009. Beautiful, Athletic, Smart, and Versatile! Sammy has been used both English and Western. Currently being used as a lesson horse for beginning and intermediate English pleasure classes.Sammy loads, stands for the farrier, accepts the bit willing, bathes, clips, leads, and lunges. No kick, buck, or rear. Sammy has a gentle disposition, but requires a confident rider, as he is smart and will test you in the saddle and on the ground. With a confident person, though, he is a true gentleman and aims to please. Very willing to work and could make a great endurance prospect. He is most comfortable in the arena, but is wiling to take on the trails. He needs to build more confidence on the trail and in new environments and prefers to follow other horses. Sammy stays alert in new environments, but doesn't spook or bolt -merely sidesteps or stops to examine the stimulus. Soft mouth and engages the bit and is sensitive to leg pressure, so a knowledgeable rider with soft hands and a good seat would be best. Puppy dog personality and the first one to meet you at the gate! Very sweet boy and will follow you around and beg for treats. UTD on vaccinations and deworming. Teeth have not been done in over a year and a half and need to be checked. Shod on fronts only. No hoof issues. No know medical issues. Selling for no fault of his own. I have owned Sammy for less than two years, but my job requires a lot of travel, leaving him untouched for weeks at a time. He is currently being worked regularly an thrives on that routine, otherwise he will challenge you in the saddle when he isn't exercised regularly. Sammy is not for a beginner, but has limitless potential for an intermediate rider and would make a great prospect for someone wanting to go further in their riding skills.
