Price lowered substantially as I regretfully must sell him before end of summer.
"Cody" is a flashy 7-year-old gelding with impressive champion bloodlines. He’s a pretty mover with natural self-carriage and cadence. He does flying lead changes and lateral work with ease. Cody would excel in Western and English Dressage. He is kind, with tons of try, but not for a rank beginner. He needs a confident rider that can guide him and provide leadership. He’s very smooth, has one blue eye, easy to clip and bathe. No cribbing. He loads and trailers fine. He’s very friendly, super smart, and loves to be around people. He would make a super all around show horse. He is the type of horse that needs a job and is happiest with a bit of daily exercise daily, if just groundwork.
Cody was bred and raised on a huge ranch in Alberta, Canada, was started as a 3-year-old, and then turned out to pasture to finish maturing. His formal training started at age 5 ½. He came to California in early 2019 and started his training in arena work. He has been shown in showmanship and can do patterns in hand. Registered with the Appaloosa Horse Club of Canada, eligible for transfer to the US Registry. Performance home preferred. Cody would not thrive as an only horse; his optimal environment is a private ranch with multiple horses or a boarding environment with other horses, stall, or pasture environment. Cody has no experience on the trails since coming to California in January, 2019 but prior, he lived on hundreds of acres in Alberta.
Purchased in May 2020 and regretfully must sell because of a life changing event. His recent pre-purchase vet check was May 2020 including, shots, worming, and radio-graphs on front feet and hocks. 100% sound vet report. He lives on a private ranch in Northern California in Marin County (city of Novato, 30 miles north of San Francisco), with two other geldings and two German Shepherds. Must see in person to purchase. Contact me privately for video and more pictures. Cody is not suitable for a beginner or kids, but he has loads of potential and he is still maturing. He would do very well in a daily training program or as a lesson horse for intermediate riders.
