Jackson is a six-year-old large, deep gold Palomino TWH gelding with a beautiful wavy white mane and tail. He's a dream on the trail, phased by virtually nothing I've encountered (bikes, dogs, elk, bear, runners, etc). He will gait (but it needs work to stay consistent), and will also trot and canter. Recently vetted with all immunizations. Extremely healthy and strong/sturdy. He needs more use than I can give him (although he's fine if he sits for a month with no riding). He would absolutely blossom in a WAHSET or a home where he is shown, and he is a show-stopper as far as appearance. He also really loves the trail. I'm a novice rider for the most part, and he is very patient with me. I think he'd do best with someone to polish him off. :). I work more than full-time and simply have no time to ride. Jackson is goofy and sweet, has a good mind and really is eager to please; he responds well to kind firmness, but dislikes whips/crops/"carrot sticks." He is lovable and amazing with kids. I have thrown my granddaughter up on him bareback many times. We've also ridden double on him. He has had training with a TWH trainer/seller in Newberg, Oregon, as well as with Jill's Horse Training in Mt. Vernon, WA. Jackson isn't crazy fast on the trail and he's not "all whoa no go," either. He's in the middle. He can be in front, middle or back, no problem, and he goes out alone well too. He crosses bridges, water, obstacles just fine, and has completed a de-spooking clinic complete with fire, sirens and smoke. Nailed it like a rockstar! Sturdy hooves; I've had him barefoot and use Scoot Boots (size 5) on his front hooves. Never any lameness or any issues whatsoever with his feet. I have his papers and he can be registered - I just haven't bothered at this point. Jackson will blossom in a home where he will get plenty of love and attention, as he's a "people horse." I will be careful where he goes; wonderful home is a must. Intermediate rider needed as he's big and young. Price is below what I paid for him, and includes his Scoot Boots (front and never-used back boots) and some other tack and supplies. More photos upon request, video coming soon.
