Presenting Orchid! She is a gorgeous 16.2h Dark Bay OTTB. So I am not a mare person, and she has changed my perspective on mares 100%. She has recently been re-started and coming along well walk/trot/canter. Good groundwork, trailers well, stands good for farrier, does not crib or have any bad vices, and does not create drama with my other horses in the pasture :) She has been barefoot since I have had her and has not had any problems...great feet and very sound. Has been good for me to tack up and groom in her stall, and calm and chill to lead around the farm. She is easy to bridle and takes the bit well...not "girthy", and is not bothered when you tighten the girth. She lunges well and has picked up very quickly on voice commands. GOOD BRAIN, very willing to learn, and has a SWEET PERSONALITY! She only raced 4 times before retiring as a successful broodmare. She foaled 2 beautiful foals & previous owners said she was a great mom. If you wanted to breed her she would make absolutely STUNNING babies. Flashy mover & hands down gorgeous. Anyone who walks by all my horses always comments on her first! She is stunning & pictures really do not do her justice. Fancy enough for hunters/jumpers, bold/brave enough for eventing, or would make a lovely dressage horse. She carries herself very well, GORGEOUS mover, & will be a very flashy show horse if that is the direction you want to go with her. I am asking $5000 OBO, but as her training continues her price will increase. Must be wonderful home with lots of LOVE. Horse experience a plus and I believe would do best with a confident rider, but also laid back enough that an amateur or beginner could bring her along with the help of a trainer.
