⭐️ GORGONZOLA - Full ad : anbequine.com ⭐️ Gorgonzola aka “Cheese” is a 2015 16.3hh gelding sired by Courageous Cat out of a Dixie Brass dam. Impressively built gelding, who has a substantial build with lovely bone. Some of you may remember him, as we took him off the track in August 2018 after a dismal career as a racehorse. He retired clean and sound, with no vices. He was placed with a teenager who did low level dressage, jumping and trail riding and unfortunately just lost interest in riding. It is for that reason, that the big Cheese has made his way back to us. We are hoping to find him a long term, loving home with a capable partner. While we’ve found Cheese to be very amateur friendly, he does appreciate being ridden correctly. Intermediate riders and above would be ideal, he likes someone with soft hands that rides correctly from the seat into the bridle. He would be perfectly suitable for the adult amateur or teen working with a trainer, but we find him to be plenty talented for the pro to enjoy. He has a uses his back very well over fences, so someone confident in their own jumping ability would be ideal. He is brave and honest to new fences, but can have a peak at scary things, that would unseat the less experienced rider. We expect this to dull down as he gets more experienced in his education. Cheese is an overall well mannered guy and pretty easy to get along with in the barn. He hops right on the trailer (we have a 3H slant with a step up). Under saddle he is a simple ride with comfortable gaits, snaffle mouth. Cheese has the movement to excel in a variety of disciplines and a jump to match. We think he screams hunter prospect and could easily get a piece of the hack! That said, his attitude and temperament would lend handy to nearly any discipline.
