This intelligent well-bred (ZAN PAR BAR on top and GAY BAR KING on bottom!) mare with a great work ethic is looking for a job and a partner! Are you ready for a horse that has been on trail rides, started on reining, worked around cattle, knows all of her cues, has great ground manners and even took a spin at jumping? More videos and photos are available upon request. We have February 2020 PPE radiograph images on file to share and welcome another PPE on this lovely mare. She simply needs a partner that can rider her often, as she loves to work. Her current owner is a mom of two small children and with the Pandemic, she does not have time for her anymore. Zia likes consistency and fairness, and will be sure to let you know if she thinks something isn't fair. She is sensitive and we have ridden her in a bit-less bridle with a bareback pad a lot, but have also ridden her with a snaffle and both dressage and western saddles. No tie downs, curb bits, curb chains, spurs, whips or any other harsh tools necessary, as this is too much pressure for her. She responds to very light cues and is like driving a sports car, very tuned in and could easily compete in trail challenges or endurance. She prefers quiet experienced riders to beginners and anxious riders, so she is not for either of those types or children. This is not a horse for a beginner. Someone with a balanced seat and able to balance without balancing with the reins is perfect. She neck and direct reins, but prefers neck reining. Quiet rider = quiet horse. She will move out also, this is not a lazy horse. She prefers living in smaller group dynamics and has been pastured with geldings and mares. She is an easy keeper, barefoot, up to date on all of her vaccinations. She leads, loads, bathes, stands tied, stands for vet and farrier, and loves to learn. She eagerly greets her rider at the gate and does not want to be done, she wants to keep on going. More videos and photos available by request. The owner is very committed to selling her to a responsible experienced forever home.
