Princess is a good pony citizen. She is great for the farrier, clipping, bathing, braiding and trailering;has not bucked, reared or bolted with her rider. Princess happily accepts western/ English tack and performs well with a simple French link egg butt snaffle. . With light, balanced yet ground-covering movement, she is schooling 2nd level dressage and is adorable either as traditional dressage pony or would present a striking picture competing at western dressage with her long thick flowing mane and tail. Princess would love the challenge of eventing/jumpers as she can naturally jump the moon. She has a scopey, brave and correct jump albeit little experience in the discipline. Trail riding would be a good diversion for Princess as well as she can is content to amble along. At home, she has been worked outdoors and indoors and trail ridden. She also lives on a farm where wildlife is abundant (elk, deer, coyotes, rabbits, raccoons and an occasional cougar or bear) and there is daily exposure to ATVs, tractors and bulldozers. Princess is a big bodied pony and easily fills out the leg of a 5.6 rider. Her ideal owner would be an experienced and knowledgeable adult amateur or teenager with kind and soft aids; preferably enrolled in a regular lesson program. At home, she has been worked outdoors, indoors and trail ridden. She lives outside in a ¼ acre paddock, has a shelter but like a true pony prefers the open weather. She settles well into a stall in the rare instances when the weather is extreme or she is away from home. Princess’s story: It starts with a dream. Princess was bred and retained by her breeder as a foundation mare for her owner’s Sport Pony breeding program. Life circumstances unfortunately stepped in the way of continuing the dream of breeding Sport Ponies; therefore, Princess has not been bred. It is now time for Princess to have her own person who will recognize and expand her talents and fulfill her new owner’s dreams. Since her breeder believes in ensuring that her mares have a life beyond breeding and believes in letting horses mature physically before they slowly start under saddle work, Princess has had significant ground work and some professional dressage training with a bit of jumping intermittently since her 5 year old year. She also has light showing experience beginning with Hunter breeding classes as a 3 year old and a dressage show in 2018.
