We've had many,many horses, and I can honestly say this is the best horse we've ever owned. Absolutely gorgeous, sweet as pie and the smoothest gaits we've ever seen. Riding Nugget is like ice skating across a pond - absolutely no bounce.
Don't be fooled, he's far more than just a pretty face - this boy can do it all. Walks on a loose rein, totally set in his gaits - absolutely anyone can make him gait as it's the only way he knows how to move. No pace, no trot - just set in cement correct gaits. Beautiful canter that is always completely under control. He'll drop to a walk or a stop on command.
You can ride him anywhere - we've had him on busy streets with loud traffic, rough back country trails - even the beach with jet skis and motor boats whizzing by. We rounded up 50 head of cattle we encountered on trail and he never flinched.
He has all of the bells and whistles. He side passed, neck reins, direct reins, moves off of your leg. Opens gaits, side passes to the mounting block. Comes when called, and he loves people and other animals. Our German shepherd is under his feet all of the time and Nugget doesn't mind.
He's not afraid of water or waves, and tolerates a drone over his head. Loads easily, great for the farrier. He will stand ground tied to saddle as long as you want him to. He will follow you like a puppy and he leaves even grain to come and visit. He would come in your house if you let him he's that friendly.

He's had so much ground work - you can ride him without a bridle and you have complete control. Doesn't care about bikes, strollers, balloons, farm equipment, motorcycles.
Most palominos turn light in the winter, but this video was filmed in his winter coat. He stays dark gold year round. He loves to play with balls, tarps or toys. Nugget was featured in the latest B&W hitch commercial that ran nationwide.
