Gracie is a 2006 chestnut 18h Oldenberg mare. She is an excellent mover with a trusting, affectionate, brave mind. Her DNA comes from champions in both dressage and jumping, since she is a Weltmeyer/Bolero/Grande/Weiswein granddaughter. Gracie is a special in that she was an orphan foal, so she had extra time with people from an incredibly young age, making her bond with humans particularly strong. She was very slow-growing and her withers did not actually finish growing until age 7, when she reached 18h. Given that happenstance, we did not really work/ride her seriously until after she turned 7 and fully developed physically. She has minimal miles for a 14-year old yet has enough experience and education needed to be your show horse in any English discipline this season! She is currently coursing anywhere from 2'6"-3'6" hunter/jumper with ease and actively doing Beginner Novice eventing courses (including water jumps, banks, ditches, and brush fences) with some Novice fences thrown in more recently. She is more whoa than go, making her a fabulous lower-level eventer, hunter/jumper, and/or dressage horse, but she has the enthusiasm and natural ability to jump higher if desired. If ridden regularly, she is immediately ridable upon tacking up with little warm-up time, making her ideal for the busy junior or amateur owner. All of this makes her perfect for an Adult Amateur or Junior/Young Rider! She is currently located at a private eventing barn getting regular work. She is a hard mare to scare, in that she does not have any spook, buck, bolt or rear. She is incredibly calm and collected away from home, wonderful on trails, and she doesn't mind being with or away from the other horses. She loves people and enjoys being groomed and loved on.
