Take this boy home! I have too many horses now and I need to make some changes. This is your chance! Bentley is a registered Gypsy Vanner who can pretty much do anything. He's been part of our family for about 5 years. He is mostly ridden by an intermediate rider. He has been used in lessons and summer camps, including for beginners and little kids. He rides English and Western and is also broke to drive. Bentley is a classic, traditional Gypsy. He is stout and perfectly sized for a Gypsy at 14 hands. His best quality is that he's willing to try and he loves to play. We've played soccer on him, used him for play days, taken him through obstacle courses, jumped all over him, taught him to jump (he will do it, but it looks like a flying rug when he goes). He has all the gears and is fancy broke. We aren't using him enough and he really deserves to have a person. My daughter has been barrel racing and while she's run Bentley a few times (he's actually really good on poles!), he's not her main focus right now. He has been desensitized to all kinds of kids and the crazy things they do. He really seems to do well in the show ring - ranch riding, dressage, or even trail courses have been awesome with him. He's young enough to still take any direction. He's a very cool horse with an even cooler Gypsy mustache. He does have a brain and he will try to use it if you aren't clear with him. He hasn't done that with kids - he's patient and kind and tolerates about everything. But if he thinks you can ride, he wants to know that he can trust you. If he does, he'll do everything you say. He's in a herd right now and he's perfect on pasture. He's fine by himself, too. In a herd, he wants to be the boss but he's terrible at it. He tries to be bossy to get control but it's over very quickly and most of the time other horses ignore him, as he's not a great leader. Very easy keeper and gets in shape quickly if you do give him any time off. He's pretty much the same horse no matter what. He spooks at roadkill for some reason, but he doesn't bolt - just steps to the side and gets low. He loves to be groomed and unless you put him in a stall, he will need it. His mane will keep growing with proper care and he has a huge tail, along with great feather. He'll stand and let you brush an entire pasture's worth of dirt off him and he'll be happy about it. Easy for the farrier and vet. No issues with the trailer. Great in new places and doesn't worry too much about other horses acting foolish - just does his job. He's a solid horse that really needs to be someone's number one. As we've gotten more and more into barrels, he is getting less attention here. Our change of focus is someone's gain!
