Hobbes is a handsome and athletic 16HH 9 yr old Arab x Friesian/Oldenburg cross. I rode and jumped him for 3 years before discovering he is ataxic as a result of deformed vertebrae in his neck. He is NOT SAFE TO RIDE, even though he compensates incredibly well. If you are looking for a gorgeous companion horse or a horse to do in-hand groundwork, tricks, halter/showmanship, etc., please consider coming to meet Hobbes! He has a forever home with me, but is available to the right person because he is clearly bored with his new job of adorning my pasture and babysitting. I enjoy hunter paces and activities which Hobbes is no longer able to do with me. He is incredibly charismatic and interested in the world around him, loves attention, and is very quick to learn (highly food motivated!). I got him as a 4 yr old rescue, past largely unknown. He is an easy keeper and has been barefoot as long as I’ve had him. He does not require special care, but benefits from vitamin E to support his nervous system. He lived alone for a while at my house and did well with lots of human interaction and a canine buddy.
