Oakley is everything you're looking for. She is built to last, athletic, catty, smart, friendly, gritty and fancy broke. She rides off with just a neck rope, war bridle, ported curb, snaffle, halter or anything else you put her in. She has been headed on out of a box (no barrier though), and excels and loves ranch roping/rodeos and dragging calves. She run barrels, poles, and any gymkhana event you ask her to. She is currently clocking 3D/4D, and she LOVES poles (currently clocking 24s with limited work). She packs flags, snubbs and ponies colts all over, and has been rode over bridges, under over passes, through water, deadfall up to her chest, and everything in between. She rides out easy and quiet every time. In a group or by herself. Her list of accomplishments includes: Roping Ranch Rodeo Sorting Barrels Poles Skijoring Mounted Shooting Snubbing and working colts Lessons Ranch work Running flags Jumping (my daughter has thrown an English saddle on and just jumped around the house). Hunting Pickup horse for Jr. Rodeos Oakley is great to catch, clip, load, trim, shoe and haul. She's the complete package rolled up in a stout 14.3 body! Oh yes, I almost forgot.... she smiles and lays down on command as well. This mare is super soft, and would be best suited for more of an advanced intermediate or above rider. If on an above average feed plan she can get a little hot. She's not a bronc, but if left sit all winter she will crow hop a bit in spring for a minute, and then ride off.
