Looking for the perfect home. Holsteiner/Trak cross, Zara has 7 years of NH "natural horsemanship" training. Loves dressage! Loves patterns! Loves to jump! Not mare-ish at all! Polite ground manners, responsive to light aids, side passes, does a gate, nice back up even thru an L, turn on the HQ, turn on the FQ, stops on a dime. She desires a rider with an educated seat and hands. She has low jump miles. She did a couple BN schooling shows at age 6 & 7 but took several years off building a new relationship & experiencing parades, trail rides, cows & natural horsemanship. Plans to start showing were quite limited due to covid but she placed 3rd out of 12 in BN at Arrowhead spring 2020! Arrowhead video below. Placed first in 2’ hunter first time out with beginner rider! Her first event in 2021 she placed 3rd out of 10! She also placed 3rd at the 2021 Rebecca Mini Event! Fancy mover, big trot, knows laterals: shoulder-in, haunches-in, leg yields, flying changes. Has a nice relaxed canter in the field. Nice jumping form, gains confidence quickly through repetition. Jumps 3’7” online, but I am a beginner jumper so we only jump 2’-2’9” mounted. She can be a jumping machine! She's a very affectionate mare, aims to please – will seek out tasks you have done before and then look at you as if she’s asking, “Is this what you want?” She wants her person to be a sensitive & compassionate leader with good communication skills. She is a quick thinker, quick learner. Barefoot 24/7 (boots or shoes in the mountains). Lives out 24/7 but stalls fine when traveling. Very motivated by food (cookies) but will take them very gently from your hand. We do not allow aggressive food behavior. Trail ridden annually many hours & days in the Rocky Mountains, the ND Badlands, gathering cows in ND hills, crosses water, ditches, gullies, etc. Rides out alone. Previous owner got her as a yearling. We have had her since age 7. Health: No cribbing, weaving. Never been lame or sick. No allergies. Grass hay in winter, pasture 24/7 in summer. No grain. Free choice loose Celtic sea salt & EquiLix mineral tubs. The previous owner had a cancerous tumor removed from her right eye. The tear duct does not drain on that eye, but you probably wouldn’t even notice it if I didn’t tell you. Our vet confirmed it was just plugged and not a medical problem. A rare find: Level 4 Parelli Eventer! She does it all, dressage, stadium & cross country jumps! She officially passed Level 4 Liberty, Level 4 Online, Level 3 Freestyle & Level 3 Finesse, ready to film Level 4.
