In September 2022 Thomas started working with a hunter/jumper trainer and she's very excited about his prospects. Videos of his first ride are available. Thomas is more than just a pretty color. He came out of a top, German breeding program through a well-known stallion station and was a licensed stallion with the Westphalian Verband before we bought and gelded him. Look no further if you've been dreaming of a golden horse for dressage. You will not find a higher quality palomino warmblood on the market! Don't let Thomas's youth turn you off. We trust him completely with all kinds of riders. He was started young for the stallion testing, so he has a lot of time under saddle. (That's not our MO but that was before we owned him.) He has been to cowboy camp to proof his groundwork and manners. He leads around the show grounds on a long line, with his nose to the ground. Thomas is safe for most riders and easy enough for an amateur or young rider in a professional program. He is trail safe and goes out weekly on big mountain trails. He's built tall but narrow, making him very comfortable to ride. Everyone who has sat on him has raved about how uncomplicated he is. He is very easy to ride, with three beautiful gaits, good balance, and a soft feel. He takes good care of his rider and has never done anything silly under saddle. Thomas lived at a busy training facility in Germany and has a "been there, seen that" attitude. He was well behaved at the show and very relaxed in the arena. He has since shown with two different AA riders and won or placed in all of his classes, with scores into the 70's, including one class in a scary high wind situation. He has a full set of x-rays including neck and back, an x-ray consult on his auction x-rays from Puchalski Equine Imaging, and passed a clinical exam.
