Sophia is a 6 year old OTTB bay mare standing at 15.1 hands.
Sophia retired sound off the track and was just not competitive so they decided it would be time for a new career ! Sophia was even ridden by Sonny Leon who piloted Rich Strike to the Kentucky Derby win in 2022 ! Lucky for us we were able to buy her !
Sophia was restarted in March of 2022. She had not been posted due to no fault of hers but rather me having to take a break due to a brain operation! While I was recovering Sophia was hard at work!
Sophia currently Walk Trot Canters and can jump around a small course. Her lead change is there and just needs some finishing touches to become an auto change!! She will also go out on the trails if you would like ! There is no spook or bad behavior what so ever she has an excellent personality and brain. No mareish behavior as well.
Uncomplicated and easy to catch, lead, load, hauls, stands tied, bathes, grooms, picks feet, saddles, bridles, stands for mount and dismount. She is good for the vet and the farrier. Loads in the trailer well and is quiet in new places.
