Have you ever dreamed of owning a kind, affectionate, patient, talented black stallion? Dartanan (aka D) is just that. He loves his thick black mane to be braided. He loves spending one on one time with his special person. He likes guys ok, but he really prefers women (I mean - he is a stallion - he loves his girls). He has absolutely zero bad habits and as amateur friendly as a stallion can possibly be. He is a stallion so, of course, we can't treat him like your everyday gelding but he is so laid back and easy, that it is something you need to constantly remind yourself of. He has spent the last few years as an active breeding stud on our farm. He has thrown some INCREDIBLE babies and they are HUGE! One of his daughter's has the most spectacular dressage movement at 17 hands. Her movement is refined and breathtaking. She is tall but so in-your-pocket and kind. D has taught so many folks to ride. He is so wonderful under saddle. He has had a few years off but you can tack him up and ride him like he had been ridden yesterday. He is definitely a ride that requires more leg but he has no trouble moving out and forward. W/T/C without any hesitation or trouble. He is soft and so supple to frame up. He could not be an easier horse to ride or manage. He has great movement, straight legs, many IALHA awards/championships, a fantastic brain and he passes so many of those great traits to his foals.
