Shelby Bornheimer listed this mare as: "Ariel is a 15 year old, 14.3h trakehner. Cost: $8500. Ariel would be perfect for any job! She happily goes around on a loose rein, or on the bit in all three gates. This mare has no spook, take her on the trails of to any show. Point and soot over any size fence. Ariel will fit any level rider in any barn! Fully up to date on shoes, teeth, worming, and vaccines. Clips, loads, bathes, and stands for farrier! Sound, super easy keeper, not mare-ish or buddy sour! She happily rode around in no bridle!" None of this turned out to be true. Ariel is a hand-full. She is a nervous and excitable horse who will rear in the cross-ties, does not stand quietly and is hypervigilant and spooky. No trainer has wanted to ride her at the Equestrian Center where she is boarded. Everybody has offered their sympathies that I was taken. I listened to what the trainer at SLB Eventing in Scottsdale told me about the horse. Either she doesn't know anything about horses or she lied. Ariel was vet checked and x rayed by Dr. Sorum in Scottsdale. He stated she was a calm horse.
