Lot #2 As our first gelding to be offered, we wanted to show you the epitome of what a Montana Ranch Horse is. And we couldn’t think of a more fitting upstanding gelding. Cowboy kind of cool! A jaw-dropper, Moose is the most handsome buckskin gelding to ever trot across a pasture! With flawless conformation not to mention a kind soft eye, Moose is simply stunning! Moose has been used extensively for outside riding including Sunday trail rides to some of the very roughest country across the western United States. The type of ground where you're strictly relying on your horse to be smart about the situation ahead. He has regularly been exposed to rivers/creeks, bicycles, equipment, four-wheelers, wild game, and gunfire. He has been trained to curbside to mount, and does so patiently. He is a staple ponying colts on him, keeps his cool, and just completes the task. Moose has quite a bit of cow for his size, he will get gritty on one. Gathering, sorting pens, shipping, and branding are all tasks he has readily been exposed to. We really appreciate that Moose will ride off alone, and keep to himself throughout the entire ride. Moose is an outstanding head horse, will all the bells and whistles of an elite one. Scores flat-footed breaks flat and runs to cattle with integrity, handles cattle with ease, and has a snappy face. Hauled to ropings amongst tough competition last fall and winter in Arizona- he can play with the big dogs! For only just 5 years old, Moose has been exposed to so much and been hauled by multiple ropers. He adjusts so well to every different rider and roper, it is unusual to see if a horse his age. Likes to be bathed and has manners when tied, turns out, and hauls with and next to other horses. Moose makes us smiles a lot when you looks at him, once couldn’t sculpt a prettier bronze. And it sure is easy to ride a gentleman who conserves his energy, yet has it readily available if needed!
