Rio has beautiful ground manners will stand quietly to brush, clean his feet, and tack up. He would make a great eventing horse as he is broke enough to do leval 1 drassage, loves to jump, and is a great trail riding horse. We have owned Rio since September 2021 and since than have used him for a little bit of everything. Including riding in the arena both English and Western. Schooling him on being soft in the face and moving off of legs and seat cues. He has great hip and shoulder control. Will pick up his leads,do half passes, two tracking, counter bending. He absolutely loves the teeter totter, is fine with tarps, the cowboy curtain, bull whips, will drag a tire and is fine with a rope. He has been ridden outside on the trails, along the highway, is fine with traffic! Over ditches and through rough country, has been used to check on cow calf pairs and does great. He has been around kids and loves if they feed him treats and love on him. Rio is gentle enough for most anyone to ride him,and will even lay down on cue, in the saddle or standing beside him! Rio has good stall manners,is easy to catch out on pasture, will walk right up to you! He loves baths, stands good for the farrier. Has no bad vices is a 100% sound, utd on shoes, and dentistry work. Rio sells at the Boone County Draft and Quarter horse sale at the Missouri state fairgrounds in Sadalia Missouri, sale dates are March 8,9,10 they offer phone and online bidding, check out their website!
