Rain (Chincoteague Pony) is finally ready to be someone's priority and actually go to more shows and parades, or trail rides! She has a great work ethic and is super comfortable to ride. We ride her in a Parelli halter all over the 20 acres & in an arena. Students as young as 9 are riding her in a halter as well. She willingly steps into the canter from a walk, and is super balanced at the counter canter as well. She is ready for higher education in dressage than we can give her, but she loves trails, is 100% sound, and gets a combination of arena work and trail cantering every time she is ridden. I can't say enough about how smooth she is. We ride Warmbloods, a saddlebred, & TB, & Rain has them all beat when it comes to the control & smoothness & slowness of her canter. She is just built to go into a frame, she doesn't hold her head up high, but is classy & pays attention to how her body is moving. She is not racy, but very fluid, and there were 3 students last year, (ages 10-12) that really enjoyed riding her during lessons and cantered her a lot. Rain is gifted with an Incredible long mane & nice forelock, and it would be a lot nicer if we actually had time to take care of it. We have not jumped Rain at all, but she would probably embrace it, as she enjoys trail obstacles. We bought her for the purpose of breeding her. We have owned her for 2.5 years and gotten two babies out of her. Rain loves affection, loves her bath, gets along great with other horses, & has been pastured with as many as 9. She loads in the trailer, often by herself, every time she goes to the arena. Rain has so much to offer a family, kids, or single adult. she REALLY loves being ridden, and embraces new stimulation. She is not goosey at all, nor does she startle easy. She is light to the leg, and we have never used spurs or martingales of any kind. Rain has a neck that naturally goes into a frame at the canter, and we think she would excel at Dressage. Rain is great for the farrier and she ties fine. We have a vested interest in where Rain's future home will be. We think whomever gets her will be pleasantly surprised, as she stands out, and is a one of a kind horse.
