2015 HA/AQHA MARE
Nugget is a flashy 7 yr old mare with a sweet disposition. In your pocket, friendly personality. Had “kindergarten” training as a yearling and was shown in the Spokane Arabian Show at halter where she won her class. Returned as a 3 yr old and again as a 5 yr old to training for 90 days each time. Nugget has been ridden both English and western and has recently started trail riding. W/T/C, starting to develop a nice stop/backup, leg yielding, lateral/vertical flexion. She is making great progress at training level dressage. Nugget is an easy keeper, has been hot shod and stands well for the farrier.
Her dam is half racing Quarter Horse and half Foundation Quarter Horse. Her sire is a very flashy Polish Arabian. She has the best attributes of both breeds.
Long strides, beautiful dressage trot, moves out, not slow and easy. Not spooky, but not at all lazy, either. We haven't started her jumping, but I see a great career for her as a dressage horse. Very athletic and smart, high mover, forward. Sweet horse but hot (Arabian x racing Quarter Horse).
Definitely not a horse for a beginner. An advanced rider will have no problems, but an intermediate rider - she'll be okay but will make you work for it. At this point she's not a push-button horse.
