You’ll search far and wide to find a gelding with the looks, and mind that’s as quiet, gentle, patient, forgiving, and calm natured as Drifter. He has been exposed to a vast variety of environments that has helped to shape and mold him to ride nicer than most geldings 3 times his age. Drifter is 3, stands around 15hh, and is versatile and has been rode in many different environments and situations.
He has been trail ridden in a wide variety of terrain. From flat open areas, to steep rocky buttes, across water, bridges, and bogs, to busy roads with cars flying by.
With each new situation he handles it with grace and ease.
Drifter has been used to gather cattle, sort pairs, and pasture rope. We have also used him to herd and chase horses.
You don’t have to be a cowboy to ride him, he’s been ridden by multiple beginner riders of various ages, and has competed in Youth 4H shows. Drifter is a complete gentleman on the ground and has been desensitized to all sorts of obstacles including whips, tarps, bags, balls, tires, little girls on segways, etc… he’s the talk of the town, with his dapple coat, and quiet disposition. Your farrier won’t have any complaints when it comes to shoeing or working with his feet. He’s quick to forgive of the mistakes of new riders, and aims to please. He’s the favorite in the barn, and one that we always look forward to riding. He has a very cute, funny, but gentle personality.
