For your consideration, Sir Gambit (Samwise)
Sam is a steady-Eddy just like his namesake, looking for his next adventure buddy. A semi-experienced 8-11 year old who needs the next step up would be ideal. He is very mellow, no vices, bucking, bolting, rearing and not spooky. He has a steady walk, trot and canter ( though upward canter transitions are are a tad rocky ) and is cantering crossrail courses with ease however I have jumped him up to about 2'3. I have had several less experienced riders on him as well as two complete beginners who had never ridden before. He behaved perfectly and by the end of the lesson they were steering confidently around cones and over poles. I took him to a small saddle club show last summer and competed crossrails hunter\jumper and equitation, he came in 2nd and 3rd He is very playful, gregarious and loves attention. I can vault on him bareback in a halter and ride out to the pasture. Has been exposed to pigs and ducks and is used to tractors, wild kids on bikes and general barn chaos. Stands for the farrier, trailers, UTD on vaccines and worming.
