"TOBY" Don't miss out, this horse is fantastic! 15.1 hh Grade 11year old Red Roan QH Gelding that literally does it ALL! Three wonderful, smooth gaits, very sure footed. Great for the farrier, trailers well. Just came back from a week long camping trip in Tahoe. Toby came from a ranch in TX originally and he might have papers somewhere but we dont have them. He has been used primarily as a trail horse for the past few years but he is one of the most versatile horses I know. You can just cruise down a trail, do barrels/gymkhana, he'd be great at working cow horse or ranch riding, and even western dressage plus he's a cute mover under an English saddle and jumps too! I think he'd be a great mounted shooting or EXCA horse too. Toby is a more forward ride but he rates easily. Lovely jog or big ground covering extended trot, collected lope or he'll give you as much speed as you want. Soft, sensitive mouth, he collects easily rides off your seat and leg and is one handed broke. Knows his leg cues, leg yields, side pass, good stop and roll back. Just starting to work on flying changes. Not phased by traffic, crosses water, carries a flag, etc and We recently found out that Toby LOVES working cows and he is definitely cowy.
We love Toby and want to find the perfect home where he will be used and appreciated for all his talents. He has had beginners and kids as young as 8 yrs old ride him but I would recommend an intermediate or better rider as he is forward and responive. No buck, rear or bolt to worry. He would be an awesome horse for an ambitious teen or anyone that likes having fun. I love this guy and if I could I'd keep him for myself, he's one of the coolest horses I've had.
