Augustus (Gus Gus) 5 YO Friesian gelding standing at 15.3HH (should get to 16HH) Trainer is 5’10 for reference. Located in Spokane WA. Passed extensive PPE with flying colors! Buyer passed due to boarding barn not having room. His mane is growing back (he scratched it off on bush), has an EXTREMELY thick tail. Owned by dressage trainer and currently in full training! If you are looking for a young horse safe enough for an AA rider/youth rider but still flashy and athletic, here’s an ad for you.. Walk, trot, canter and rein back with very rideable gaits and a comfortable uphill canter. Soft in the mouth, follows contact forward and long in the neck. Responsive to the leg but not explosive off of it. Perfecting his yield, haunches in, shoulder in and walk to canter. Will WTC on a loose rein and takes contact well. Currently jumping cross rails. Can be ridden with spurs and a whip but doesn’t need to be. No rear, buck, bolt or bite. Stands to be mounted and dismounted, stands tied, bathes, trailers and stands for farrier. Long lines and lunges. Loves to be groomed and dotted on, comes to the gate to greet you. Good ground manners, will stand in cross ties or tied to a post. Currently ridden in 3 piece lozenge D ring, UTD on vaccines and teeth, no health/soundness issues. Currently not on any grain or supplements, fed half alfalfa, half grass but goes fine on just one type. Barefoot currently with healthy, strong hooves. I own a PEMF machine so he gets treatments 2x a week. Gus Gus is one of the most easy going, kind, lovable sale horses I have had the pleasure of working with in a while. I have taken him on trails as the lead and following horse. Gus has gone through/over bridges, tires, teeter totters and more. Rides bareback in a halter. Can slide off his butt, flap your arms and legs around on him and jump on him from the ground with no tack. I had one of my youth riders take him through a difficult trail course her first time riding him and they could do it all easily. Hauls out and rides at new places like a pro. Gus has been ridden in clinics with Dacia Imperato and Aaron Janicki with different riders. Have put multiple of my students of different levels on him and he takes a joke well. Adjusts to rider level, he is careful with my beginner/intermediate riders. Potential for upper level dressage. Suitable for an AA rider or confident youth rider in a program. Can sell with new Peter Horobin custom dressage saddle, dressage pads, bridle and girth for an extra $7500 Dressage video - Trail & Obstacle Video- https://youtu.be/tCC_PyC9Olo Grooming & Tacking Video - https://youtu.be/r6mfgfcnso4 Dressage Video - https://youtu.be/1kkeLy6DWdo https://www.doubledutchdressage.com
