Very smooth, nicely gaited registered Peruvian Paso gelding. Wonderful on trail, goes out alone or in groups. In groups, he is even willing to ride behind slower non-gaited horses and keep a slower walk. He doesn’t get pushy or competitive. He loves to lead as well. You can flat walk, gait him, or gallop him (he has a lovely canter as well as his Peruvian gaits) and then bring him right back down to a walk. He doesn’t get hot or jiggy after moving out. He is good with obstacles. He crosses bridges. He has ridden through “cowboy curtains” and other man made obstacles—he notices new things but is immediately willing to do them for you. He is an interesting mix of brio and calm. Temperament wise, he’s like a Peruvian Paso with a streak of quarterhorse. He can be calm and mellow and can flat walk low headed like a quarterhorse, but then can pick up energy and speed with just the click of your tongue. He ground ties. He can stand tied all day. He is good for the farrier. He is good for baths. Great with trailering. Fun in the arena. Great with lateral motion. Leg yields, side pass, haunch turns, nice back up. He is extremely light and sensitive. He deserves a rider with Paso experience, or at least a rider used to riding sensitive breeds. His ideal rider knows how to cue a horse without actually touching the horse.
