Nikomis of Carisbrooke This 17+ hand high gentleman is the total package in looks, brains, bloodlines and movement! He will catch your attention with his regal elegance and you will fall in love with his personality and willingness to please. He is still green, having been in part time dressage training the past two summers.. He is a "quick study" and catches on very fast to leg aids and overall direction with quiet subtle aids. In 2018 Niko experienced his first show in Minneapolis, MN. He even came home with a blue ribbon in Dressage Suitability! Niko is progressing daily with USDF Silver Medalist Madison Kemppainen and is a joy to ride. Niko is the son of the purebred Friesian stallion Milan of Carisbrooke. Milan was the first Star stallion in North America for the original Dutch KFPS registry. As a weanling in 1996, Milan was awarded "Best of Show" as well as "First Premie" at the KFPS Keuring hosted in Harvard, IL. Milan spent his career showing dressage and doing exhibitions with European trained and certified Doina Fischer, owner of Classical Riding Reflections. He was also a great driving stallion, and driven by several different professionals. Many of Milan's offspring have gone on to have very successful careers in a variety of disciplines. Niko's mother, Sabine, is a registered Oldenburg. She is a daughter of the sire Noteworthy who stood at stud and then went on to compete in England. He was a triple registered, approved breeding stallion for the German Oldenburg, North American Oldenburg and International Sporthorse registries. Niko has an excellent work ethic with great ground manners, and is just a sweetheart. Everybody loves this horse and he immediately catches your eye when he walks into the arena.
