It is with a very heavy heart that I am offering up my beloved stallion COWBOYS SON DUN IT aka Cowboy, for sale. He is an exceptionally well behaved stallion and a proven producer. Cowboy will surely be an incredible addition to any breeding program. I have owned and trained Cowboy since he was a weanling. I halter broke and trained him to ride undersaddle.. He has been an exceptional producer of money earners and multiple World Champions, in a variety of events. He has also been an incredible friend and companion, but some unfortunate life events have forced me to sell my beloved, prized stallion. Cowboy is an extremely easy stallion to handle and breed. He hand breeds and pasture breeds. Cowboy also does not need to be bred with a stud chain around his face, that is too much pressure for him, because he is so soft nosed. I just clip the stud chain on so he knows it's there and then he knows it’s time to breed. He is also very well trained under saddle and he has exceptional ground manners. He knows word commands and understands body language and ques, very well. He walks, trots, lopes on command and on a loose rein, He stops with just a "whoe" and no rein pressure at all! He neck reins and rides in both a hackamore or a bit. He responds with very light pressure and can even be ridden bridleless.. He also side passes, spins, slides and does roll backs and he knows some western dressage, as well. And he really loves cows!!! Cowboy is a very good boy that always tries to please. However, he is very sensitive, so he would need to be handled with someone with a very light hand, because too much pressure can scare him and he can become overactive when too much pressure is applied. But if you are calm, soft handed and relaxed, he will give you all he's got! Cowboy rides alone or with other horses, he has been ridden at shows and rodeos and around lots of other horses and livestock. He has also been around tractors, vehicles, ATV;s fireworks, dogs you name it! And he is an exceptional trail horse, who is a calm confident partner and he loves to get out and go!!! Cowboy has no problems staying focused on the job at hand. Cowboy produces very refined beautiful foals with gorgeous head and neck sets and a poppin hip! Typically his foals retain the mare's form, with the addition of his refinement and beauty. He also carries both a DUN and a CREAM gene and he produces about 90% color. Grulla, Dun, Buckskin, Palomino, Dunolino, Dunskin, you name it! He's produced it! Cowboy is also 5 panel tested and negative on all 5 genetic defects!
