Hercules is the first to greet you at the gate and just wants to be in your pocket. He loves getting groomed, bathed, and any/all attention. Rides English, western, or bareback. He has been used for dressage, sorting, recreational arena riding, and trail riding. Rides in collection or on a loose rein, neck reins or direct reins, moves of legs, backs, etc. Hercules will carry flags, drag tires, go over small jumps, anything you ask for. His trot and canter are to die for- but can take some encouraging to get out of a trot with a new-to-him rider. He is a seasoned trail horse; Hercules is not phased by traffic, gun fire, dogs, plastic bags, or bikes. He’s a little too lazy to be spooky! Sure-footed in all terrains, He rides on the trail alone or with a group and is a go to for beginners outside the arena. He has never offered to buck, bolt, rear even after he’s sat for months. He does require a firm hand or he will get pushy on the ground and lazy under saddle. Would be fine for a newer rider who keeps their horse in training or an intermediate+. Gets along with other horses and is low man on the totem pole. Stands to be saddled, bridled and mounted. Great for farrier and stays sound barefoot. No history of lameness and stays fat off of grass. He does have anhidrosis and stays on One AC year round. He spent the last couple summers in northern Arizona and done great. Ideally would have a similar situation with his next owner.
