This is Sweet Rockn Sinatra, aka Governer. He is 14 years old, 16.1 hands, and is a gentleman. I have had him for a little over two years and due to unfortunate conditions including my health I am no longer in a position to keep him which is why I am looking for a great new home for him. He is ‘in your pocket’, has a very gentle demeanor, is gregarious, and amiable as well as a easy keeper. I have been trailering him off of the property and done a solo trail rides each time, he has not been barn or herd sour. He loads and unloads well and I have clipped him in the summer and he did great with it though his legs were a little ticklish for him. He is very readable, predictable, and sincere. If all that is to be done that day with him is a spa day he is completely content. He has had beginners, kids and adults alike who have never been around horses, on him both bareback or with a bareback pad and he didn’t put one foot wrong. He is very trainable and picks up new cues well. With the owners who had him before the ones I bought him from he was a ranch horse working cattle and was ridden western. His previous owners rode him western and when I bought him I transitioned him to english and more of a direct rein. He has been kept on a property that regularly has heavy machinery driving around such as cranes, tractors, trailers, etc. The biggest issue is that since I haven't been able to ride due to my health, some of his buttons have become sticky, especially his right lead canter and he is not as as in shape as he could be. All he needs is a few months of more consistent rides to muscle back up and refresh all of his cues. I’m looking for him to go to a long term home of someone who is looking for a good companion and maybe a trail horse. The only work he needs is to remember a few cues and be put back into better shape. I'd say he would make a very good horse for a young or mature rider looking for a four legged friend. Please email me any questions! (price is flexible for the right home)
