Raina is a 2019 true blue roan mare standing at about 14.2 (will have to stick her again) and should mature at 15 hands. She is so naturally athletic and quick on her feet, it’s jaw dropping. I’m confident that she could do very well on speed events, working cows and even roping. She’s not been around cows since I’ve had her but with her personality I think she would be very cowy.
She will load and unload, stand for farrier, stand for a bath (in fact has grown very fond of being hosed off in the summer), stands tied. She’s not fond of spray bottles but is getting better with them. She’s a very very soft horse and does not appreciate rough hands. She typically has a very long and thick mane, but she decided to rub it off on a tree this summer.
I love this filly; this is a hard decision to make. I had every intention of making her my next barrel horse, but I recently had a baby and just don’t see myself getting back into barrel racing any time soon. Her only reason for sale is that I don’t want to see her talent go to waste waiting on me.
