Vinny is a great horse, but we are going a different direction and need a stockhorse type instead of a Walker. We love this horse and will be extremely picky where he goes! No, he is NOT for beginners. Vinny was off work for 2 years when we bought him this Spring. He was on the back burner until September when I started working with a trainer 1x/week and riding him regularly at home. Vinny still needs some wet saddle pads or a refresher with a trainer to be a consistent ride every time. He is quiet, but a little nervous and needs a confident rider and handler. His worst habit is the tendency to get herd bound, which we are working on and will continue to until he is sold. Stats: TWH (registered, have papers) 15 this year 16.3 hh Pros: Very sweet Fast learner and willing to learn Gaits naturally Has some fancy buttons, just refreshing him on their use. Spent several years doing competitive mounted orienteering. Safe on the ground. Good for the farrier Good for baths Good with trailering Gentle around kids Medium keeper Good with other horses Cons: * Needs an experienced rider, a refresher, or intermediate working with a trainer. Ideally, he needs some training. * A little nervous, but very mild spooker and settles back down. * Has a small divot on his hind end. According to the vet it doesn't affect him structurally, but it's a visual flaw.
