Tanneken Of WHF, a gorgeous 16.1 hand daughter of Teade 392 x Wander 352.
A true hard to find baroque type mare, big, bold, and beautiful. Teenie was started under saddle at the age of 6 and has been ridden primarily for leisure out on the trail, but has also competed in Hunter Paces for the last two seasons. She rides wonderfully on trails, will cross creeks, ditches, banks, and will even pop over logs if persuaded. (She has a little experience with jumping the occasional jump at the Hunter Paces and she tolerates being required to do so with no fuss, although she isn't quite sure what the point is of this) her pace is somewhat mild, she will happily ride at the back of the group at a slow pace but she also loves riding in the front and enjoys moving out and seeing what is around the bend as the leader too. Teenie is curious and is overall level-headed on the trail or at competition, she can on the occasion be goosy and will do a quick stop to do the Friesian "stare" at an object for a second if she isn't sure what it is. She should be best suited for at least a relaxed and confident intermediate rider.
Teenie loads well and handles traveling, enjoys bathing, clipping, and any amount of grooming, mane braiding and attention you will give. Has been ridden on roadsides next to vehicles, cantered hunter pace courses across fields with cows and has even been swimming in our local river and thoroughly enjoys the water, as most Friesians do! She LOVES people nearly more than her herd and is always in our pockets when we walk the pastures. She is overall a very no-nonsense "good girl" and is always paying attention and extremely willing to please her human. Even the non-horse loving husband will tack her up and take her on a trail with no issue.
Please Note: Teenie foaled one purebred foal in 2021, a beautiful filly by our stallion. She took multiple attempts to get her in foal, and after multiple attempts to rebreed again after her first with no luck we have decided she is a difficult breeder and with the lack of equine repro-vets and ultrasound techs in our part of the state we have decided to only keep our easy breeders for now. I would otherwise absolutely not consider selling. She has been priced accordingly.
Teenie is however 100% sound and healthy otherwise and will come with current negative coggins, current health papers, and additional vet checks are always welcome at the buyer's expense.
