Come and meet him! Back on the market, passed vet check but decided it wouldn’t be a good fit. Need to spend time with my daughters horse, so all offers (after meeting him) will be considered. Stocky sorrel gelding to good home, make offer! He is goofy and loves trail riding, has trail rode around MI and hauled out to S Dakota and ridden in the Black Hills and Badlands. Responsive on the trail, not spooky but not a deadhead. Will pull a sled with riders and can throw a rope off him. He trailers, ties, and pickets or stalls when camping. He will arena ride. We have an indoor to try him out, but may test rider with a bit of negative behavior (ears back, may pull front leg out when picking feet) when grooming & saddling inside, so recommend an intermediate horse person for this task. He’s good under saddle walk/trot/canter, responds to leg pressure to move hind or front around. He's less forward when riding inside. Temperament 2 until he gets to know you & because he’s young, but he really is quite steady for a knowledgeable rider. He has had 30 days pleasure (hunter and western) training this fall, as he prefers to go slower, but he can get up & go with the right person. We have had him since yearling. UTD on vaccines, coggins, teeth. Pasture or stall (pastured currently), goes barefoot (did have front shoes in S Dakota), easy keeper. I am very happy to answer any questions, and negotiable to good home.
