Leroy is coming 11 and a lovely gelding to be around on the ground. He is fine undersaddle at the W/T but has had some soreness issues in the past when worked heavily. By heavy work I mean he is not suitable for 2-12miles a day 5 days a week in the mountains. He generally appears sound but when asked to lope to the right he will often stop moving forward and balk. If pushed harder into a lope he will pick up the left lead or start crowhopping. I have not had him looked at by a vet or body worker at this time and his price reflects that. PPE welcome at buyers expense. He is not fancy broke by any means but he is not green broke either. He direct reins and has a basic understanding that his hips and shoulders can move independently. He isn't spooky out on the trail. He isn't the best lead horse but he can do it, just better off behind another horse. Leroy is great for the farrier and is easy to catch. He is UTD on feet, vaccinations, and teeth. I have had him shod and barefoot just fine. Can ride in a snaffle or curb bit.
