“Paintbrush” is a 2013 AQHA/APHA gelding that is a truly one of a kind, finished reined cowhorse. He is by a son of Spooks Gotta Gun ($3 Million+ sire) who was crossed on a daughter of Smart Chic Olena (NRHA Hall of Fame, NRHA 10+ million dollar sire, NRCHA Million dollar sire).

The first time he was saddled up in my arena, he made the hair stand up on my arms as I watched him ride. I can’t even continue to find every single thing on this guy’s record. If only his LTE was properly captured every step of the way. Some highlights of his resume include:

We have ridden him inside and outside of the arena. He has a one handed turn around like a helicopter, and is as broke, as broke can be defined. He is a solid, Non Pro friendly gelding! He would be the perfect horse to teach someone everything there is to know about the cowhorse.

He has been ridden down the trail: through the forest, crossing water, or out in the hayfield. He has been roped on, both some in the box, and in the pasture. He had been used mostly on the ranch when he wasn’t in the show pen. He has been shown in the Reining, Ranch Riding, and Cow Horse by an amateur.
