Chubs will be your new tried and true favorite to jump in the trailer and take to a jackpot. If you’re a beginner rider wanting to get into roping, a beginner roper needing a mount that will do its job so you can just worry about roping, or a lower numbered heeler just wanting something safe to have fun on he will work for you. Chubs will not be the reason you don’t win a check as you just have to worry about roping and he does the rest. You can run one or thirty on him and he’s going to be the same every time. Easy to get along with, falls right in where he’s suppose to, and has enough run to go to the 9s. We’ve had four different ropers, ranging from a junior rodeo kid to professional ropers and trainers, rope on him successfully with no issues along with multiple others that have seen him go and they all say the same thing : “He’s the same every time and the ultimate learner horse.” Chubs has been used outside as well as on the head side and for breakaway roping but his primary job has been heeling. There is video available of him heading on his playlist as well. He has a very straight forward and light handle, lopes controlled circles with 3ft of rein, side passes, picks up both leads, and will lay down a set of 11s just loping around in a halter. Chubs gets the usual once a year maintenance injections like most finished horses his age and is ready to hit the jackpot road! Perfect ground manners with a super sweet personality. He does not get fresh with time off, does not get hot headed, and has no bad habits of any kind.
