Duke is a pleasant, agreeable, beautiful mount! He loves to have a job, is an ambitious forward mover, and is as smooth as they come! He has been ridden the past three years on Rocky Mountain trails by young adults with intermediate riding experience. He has been exposed to bikers, hikers, road traffic, dogs, and machinery. He is easy to catch. He has done well living in our large herd and stays out of trouble with other horses. He rides well on the trail as well as in the arena, he is sensitive to the bit. And, heโs got the nicest tail in the herd! ๐ I would ride him while leading lessons in our arena and I could ride him while continuously looking behind me at students while I taught. He was very easy to rate his speed, smooth as can be, and I was able to do my job well (essentially ride backwards) without needing to school on him or spend any extra energy correcting him. Cool! Selling because his natural gait is too fast/forward for our trail string program. He has had his vaccinations every spring, was dewormed every spring and fall, and has had his teeth evaluated and floated every fall since we have owned him. He stands for the farrier and to be shod. Loads no problem.
