Lucy is a very smart and athletic, well trained and well bred horse. She is sweet and kind, with a willing attitude, forgiving and tolerant. To see her you would never guess that she is 23 years young. I purchased Lucy from her breeder as a 3 year old. Impeccably bred, she has multiple siblings competing at the highest levels, including a full sister campaigned by an Olympian. Lucy has been a success herself, competing through through Training Level in Eventing, First Level Dressage (schooled Second), and an occasional hunter show and pace over the years. She is also proven in a youth riding program, teaching them how to jump and taking them to shows. She has seen me through lessons on the lunge, in the arena, and out on the cross country field with incredible instructors Ryan Yap, Jimmy Wofford, and Lucinda Green to name a few. We spent many years riding and training with Ryan Yap, as well as countless hours out on the trail. A fantastic example of how wonderful this horse still is: just a few months ago, with a rider new to her, she completed her very first Mountain Trail Obstacle course, something she had NEVER done, and did it with flying colors, impressing even the event organizer. She is solid both in the saddle as well as medically. She is a sound, easy keeper, has been barefoot for years, no special feed or maintenance, and has no medical issues or vices (and is not in the least bit "marish"). She has been used VERY judiciously, with plenty left to give a rider. Unfortunately my heath forces her sale. It is now time for her to pay it forward with another rider, as she has lots of knowledge in that brain of hers to give. It would be a shame to not share what she has to offer.
