Orion is a coming 2 year old (born late spring 2021) gelding who is a mix of Dutch Harness Horse, Clydesdale, and Thoroughbred. We do not have specific details on his parents. He currently stands 15.2 but is growing like a weed and string tests to between 16.1-16.2. This is a very athletic young horse with big, elastic gaits- he combines the best of all his breeds! We think he’ll excel as a dressage horse with his impressive movement, but he also has the good bone and bold temperament to make an excellent fox hunter. Orion is very curious and friendly, but he is an energetic youngster who is best suited to an experienced handler at this point in time. He ties, crossties, leads, loads, stands for grooming, picks up his feet nicely, and is becoming more well-mannered every day. He has had a few sessions of learning to lunge and picked it up quickly. He has nice sturdy feet and is barefoot. Don’t let his winter scruffiness fool you- this is going to be a handsome boy who will be turning heads when he’s all grown up!
