Spooncat is a SUPER stocky built 14.2hh, 5 year old, Black/White Paint Gelding. He is registered APHA and his pedigree has some of the best you will find! On the top side he goes back to He’s A Peptospoonful to the legendary Peptoboonsmal and on the bottom side he goes back to the legendary Paint Horse Color Me Smart!!! He is bred to do anything that involves a cow! Spooncat has a lot of experience and has been ridden lots of miles. He has been owned and ridden by a good friend of ours who is a natural horsemanship trainer. Spooncat will lay down and set on his rump. He also rides bridleless! He is a super sweet horse and loves attention! He is a horse that the whole family can ride and love regardless of what age they are! He is stout enough to carry a big ol daddy yet gentle enough to his carry baby girl! I have hauled him to team sorting events and won money on him, he has been started on both ends of the roping dummy, and has huge potential! He has been trail ridden in several states. He will cross creeks, ditches, logs and navigate rough rocky areas. He is safe riding in traffic. He has a smooth jog, a nice lope, will slide stop, turns a circle both ways, sidepasses and backs with ease! He a confident horse on the trails and will lead the crew, head out alone or follow behind with no issues! He has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkey or other animals like cows or dogs and will go anywhere that he is asked too. He has been rode many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure footed.
